Cinco de Mayo is a fun celebration of the Mexican victory over the French army. Here are some delicious recipes to help you celebrate and enjoy the day.

Back in 1862, a very large French army was defeated by the much smaller Mexican army. This day gave the Mexican army some much needed morale boost during the Battle of Puebla and it slowed the French army’s advancement towards Mexico City.
Although the Mexican army eventually lost the battle overall, that day is still commemorated. There are parades, music, dancing, and even battle reenactments. It’s a time of hearty celebration and rejoicing.
And don’t forget the food. There are so many delicious ways to enjoy the feasting of this celebration, besides the average taco. Here are some of my favorites.
