APPLE PIE FRENCH TOAST
I love the flavors in this French toast recipe. It’s warming, comforting, and has all the flavors of a fresh baked apple pie, without having to go to that effort. You’ll love how easy it is, too.
- Eggs - Milk - Maple syrup - Cinnamon - Ground cloves - Ground nutmeg - Applesauce - Bread
Combine eggs, milk, syrup, seasonings, and applesauce in a large bowl.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Dip slices of bread in egg mixture, flip over to ensure coating the bread and place in hot skillet.
Fry for 4-5 minutes, flip over and fry on other side 4-5 minutes.
Serve hot and enjoy.
You can use any kind of bread you have on hand, to be honest. I like to use a thicker, heartier bread for this as it soaks up the egg mixture fairly well.
What kind of bread should I use?
That’s one of my favorite things about this recipe. You can make a double, triple, or even quadruple batch one day, and freeze it.
Can I make this ahead of time?
