CROCKPOT CHEESEBURGER SOUP
This slow cooker cheeseburger soup is one of our favorite comfort foods. It’s rich broth, savory chunks of beef, and creamy Velveeta cheese combine so beautifully.
Add some crusty bread, and you are set for a meal that you won’t forget!
This could possibly be called “cheeseburger and fries” soup, because it has the addition of potatoes that are tender.
- potatoes - avocado oil - onion - garlic - hamburger - tomatoes - salt - ground pepper - Velveeta
Dice potatoes. Heat the avocado oil on medium high in a large skillet.
Saute the onion and garlic for 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper while sauteing.
Add hamburger, and cook until medium done.
Add potatoes, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and the hamburger mixture from the skillet to the crockpot.
Stir in Velveeta cheese, cover, and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
CAN I USE CHICKEN BROTH INSTEAD OF BEEF?
This recipe has been tested with beef broth exclusively. However, there is no reason you couldn’t make it with chicken broth, or even water if you wanted to. Just be aware that you may have a different flavor
