Chicken never had it so good! These barbeque chicken thighs are lip smackin’, finger lickin’ delicious!
The Frenchman, hubby, and my oldest son love barbeque sauce. They will put it on nearly everything. In the summer, we love to grill out a lot, and a good barbeque flavor is a must for them.
Well, now we don’t have to wait for summer, or the grill to enjoy those smoky, spicy, sweet flavors. Easy barbeque chicken is done right in the oven!
I love using cast iron for this (as I love using it for nearly any recipe). Well seasoned cast iron is non stick, easy to clean, and gives meat a great sear, holding all the juices and flavor in. Cast iron also gives barbeque chicken that homestyle feeling when it’s being served. (or is that just me?)
You can make barbeque chicken using any parts of the chicken, but barbeque chicken thighs have an amazing flavor.
It could be that the thighs, being dark meat, have a much richer flavor on their own and are able to handle the smoky, spicy, sweet barbeque sauce. Or, it could be that we just love the dark meat of the chicken since it tends to be less dry than other pieces.
You can also make this recipe on the grill, if you want, following the same directions as you would the oven. Take your ordinary chicken dinner night up a notch! Easy to make barbeque chicken is now on the menu! It’s a delicious way to add some spice to your life!
