Make your coffee sweet and creamy with this easy to make homemade coffee creamer! Loaded with vanilla flavor!

I thought I liked coffee, it turns out that I just really like coffee creamer. Flavored coffees are one of my favorite beverages on a daily basis. A good mug of hot java is how we start our day here.
Do you use flavored coffee creamer? What happens if you run out suddenly? No worries, friend. You can make this super easy homemade creamer recipe with just a few ingredients, and in less than 20 minutes.

Ingredients you need
- Heavy whipping cream
- Granulated sugar
- Butter
- Vanilla extract
- Salt

Making your French vanilla creamer:
- Add cream, butter, and sugar to a medium pan, and bring to a boil over medium low heat, stir frequently to prevent burning.
- Once mixture is at a bowl, turn heat to low and simmer until mixture begins to thicken up, approximately 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat, add vanilla extract and salt.
- Stir completely, and pour into a glass jar. You can use immediately, or allow to cool ad thicken a bit more.
- Store in the fridge. It will thicken a bit more as mixture cools. Use within 3-5 days.
Why do you use butter?
I personally think that it helps bring out the vanilla flavor. It also helps to thicken the creamer. If you don’t want to use butter, you can leave it out. You will want to simmer your heavy cream a bit longer to thicken it, though.

Where can I use this?
You can use this french vanilla coffee creamer in your morning hot cup of coffee, or even to flavor your favorite iced coffee.
It’s a great idea for housewarming gift as well. Simply make a larger batch, and put it in mason jars with a pretty ribbon and add it to a package of coffee or coffee beans.
