Sweet, and full on fall flavor, these caramel apple scones are the perfect breakfast or with afternoon tea!

Tis the season for all things apple and cinnamon. To be fully honest, that is ALL season in this house. Truly. There’s nothing more comforting than the smell of spicy apples baking.
Apples are a wonderful fruit, and have so many wonderful options. Cooking, baking, making sauce, and eating fresh. We really have no favorites in this house, it’s any apple we can get our hands on.
Going to pick apples at a local apple farm is a great family activity, too. Apples can be stored in the fridge, or in a cool, dry place such as a root cellar. Grab a few extra when they are on sale for sweet treats, too.

What apples should I use?
For baking or cooking try:
- Cortland
- Jonathon

For eating fresh try:

We used Red Delicious apples in these caramel apple cinnamon scones, but any apple you choose will give you nearly the same results. Fresh apple flavor meets spicy cinnamon.
