All the flavor of your favorite classic cocktail, in a non alcoholic drink. Enjoy refreshing flavor with this sparkling greyhound mocktail.

Girls night, a classy brunch, or just sharing a fun weekend day with your family. There is really no wrong time for a happy hour, right? It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, ya know.
When you want a fresh summer drink that would be perfect all year long, you need to try this alcohol free mocktail. Made with fresh grapefruit juice, a simple syrup, and sparkling water, it’s one you won’t want to pass up.
What is a greyhound?
A greyhound cocktail is normally made with vodka or gin. A bit of simple syrup and grapefruit juice top it of. It is served being chilled by shaking with ice cubes, but commonly not over ice.
Our mocktail has all the flavor, but without the alcohol. This refreshing drink recipe is perfect for all ages, and is great for dinner parties or brunches, too.

How do you make a simple syrup?
A simple syrup is 2 ingredients, sugar and water. Bring equal parts of sugar and water to a rolling boil, stirring constantly. Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
Store your simple syrup in the fridge for up to 3 months.
Ingredients you need:
- Fresh grapfruit juice
- Simple syrup
- Club soda

Making your sparkling greyhound mocktail
- Combine all ingredients in a gallon sized pitcher.
- Stir well, then serve over ice.
Do I need to use fresh squeezed grapefruit juice with beverage?
Well, fresh squeezed is better, in my opinion. However, this recipe will work just as well with bottled grapefruit juice. You may need to adjust the amount of simple syrup with it, depending on brand. Some brands are more tart than others, and some are sweeter.
