As a child, my mother would add flavor to most of her cooking by using seasoning salt. She would shake it on everything, from burgers and meatloaf to eggs. When she bought another Lawry’s red canister, it usually meant lots of flavorful foods were in our future. YUMMY!
I am the kind of person who buys all my herbs and spices in bulk.
It is typically cheaper to do, and having more variety on hand makes
it easier to pull off nearly any dish. So, it wasn’t a stretch to
make my own homemade seasoned salt recipe. This is my version of a
copycat recipe of the popular spice blend.

If you would like to buy your spices in bulk, check to see if Azure Standard delivers to your area. It’s the main source of bulk foods for my family as they have high quality, organic products. You can also have them direct delivered to you if a drop doesn’t exist in your area!
Ingredients you need:

Making your homemade seasoning salt:
- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Store in an airtight container.
How long will this seasoned salt last?
The blend itself will store well in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months. After that, the seasonings may start to lose flavor. If you are concerned about not
being able to use it in that time frame, feel free to cut the recipe
in half or in 1/4.

Ways to use your seasoned salt:
- Sprinkle on chicken, fish, or burgers
- Add to mashed potatoes
- Stir into brown rice or black beans
- Make a new popcorn flavor
- Add zip and zest to scrambled eggs
- Take homemade mayo up a notch
