This sweet and easy, homemade strawberry bread is a family friendly crowd pleaser with it’s fresh strawberry bits and hints of cinnamon and vanilla. This recipe is light enough for breakfast and luscious enough for dessert.

In our house, having baked goods on hand is a necessity as much as it is a treat. My husband will generally not eat anything for breakfast but if I make something quick and healthy he will 100% grab it on his way out the door to work. It makes everyone’s day better when there is something food in the belly to start the day.
When you are looking for baked goods to add to your table this recipe bakes up quickly and is so fresh, moist and full of sweet flavor. It’s also great for potlucks and gatherings when sliced for quick grabbing. I don’t know a single friend or family member that can turn this treat down, they are always asking me to make more.

Can I cut the amount of refined sugar in this?
It’s very easy to cut the refined sugar in this recipe. Simply swap 1/4 cup of sugar with
- 1 ripe, mashed banana
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1/4 cup honey (turn the oven temp down 25 degrees to avoid overbrowning)
My strawberry bread batter looks thick, is that ok?
Yes, it is ok! Strawberries have a lot of moisture so don’t worry, your bread will still be moist and delicious.
How to freeze strawberry bread
This strawberry bread is great to make double or triple batches, and freeze some for later. Simply wrap in an airtight ziplock bag, and store in the freezer for up to 2 months. Allow the bread to thaw for 1-2 hours on the counter before slicing.
You can also slice the bread first, then freeze. To enjoy, simply allow each slice to thaw for 20 minutes on the counter. This can help with grab and go breakfasts and snacks.
